ni sounds like a one-size-fits-all solution that perfectly fits my need.
AI coding agents often use npm in a pnpm project. This creates unrelated lockfiles and may mess up your node_modules.
ni is an alias for the correct package manager. It automatically detects the existing lockfile and helps you decide. Common commands are shortened for easier typing. This also helps AI because it is a one-size-fits-all solution. So your AI no longer needs to explore the project to figure out which package manager to use.
To get started, try ni-skill. Your AI agents will try to use commands from ni instead of doing that themselves. Here's how to install it:
